What Is It
WHAT IS SUMMER SCHOOL?
Summer School was started for two separate reasons. Firstly to offer our stage school members a way of continuing their theatre experience during the long summer break. Secondly however, we wanted to be able to offer people who haven’t had an experience in theatre a chance to get the full package in the space of a week. Hence the summer school idea was born. A full mini-musical production experience in just one week from start to finish.
The event is aimed at children 5 - 18 who either attend our stage school, attend other theatre groups or have not yet had chance to get involved in theatre and are interested in experiencing it. The week starts with a morning of activities including Street Dancing, Vocal Technique and Stage Fighting (using the FiteRite programme we helped pioneer). In the afternoon children then begin looking at their mini-musical and by the end of the first day everyone will have a part and something to do in the show. The rest of the week is then spent working on all the songs, scenes and dance routines from the show which the children will all stage on the Friday afternoon for friends and family and demonstrate just how much they have learnt and achieved in the short space of time. The week is an extremely enjoyable 5 days and everyone who attends has a great time!

Whats Included
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
The cost for summer school includes nearly everything you will need to last the week. The script and nearly all principle costumes will be included. You may be
asked to provide a small amount of costume (black trousers, plain t-shirt) but we hold a large amount in our wardrobe department. Therefore all you should need to
provide is a pack lunch every day for the dinner break. We also recommend bringing a good amount of liquid as each day will involve normally at least 90 minutes of
dancing spread across it. Children must also remember to bring their script with them each day.
